THE HEALING TRANSFORMATION HOPE CENTRE is
the place where you too will meet Jesus personally and Elise will help
facilitate your healing so you can be set free to serve the body of
Christ, like she is.
After facing many years of inner struggle with a debilitating anxiety
disorder, rage and anger, narcissistic tendencies, insecurities,
eating disorder, BWS, family dysfunction and conflicts she was
searching for healing through various church ministries, therapies and
therapists, Elise was left to figure out her own healing journey. She
was given medications from the age of 26 years old in the hope that it
would heal her anxiety and underlying issues. Instead, it created side
effects that were worse than the original diagnosis. Disillusioning
her by increasing her anxiety, developing rage for no reason,
psychosis, other horrible scary symptoms that affected her critical
reasoning, hindering her potential. She felt lost within herself and
couldn’t understand what was happening to her. Where did the real
Elise go to? She felt trapped. She did not feel supported by those she
loved. Alone and in anguish she reached out to the Lord desperately.
It was when the Lord showed up as ‘the wonderful counsellor’ and
showed her how to hear His voice and record His instructions that
Elise finally healed from every bondage, pain, trauma and negative
pattern. She survived a three year battle from an intragenic brain
injury known as BWS. Benzodiazepine Withdrawal Syndrome. Trying to get
off of medication as prescribed. Damaging her Gaba receptors and
ruining her life. She battled countless symptoms daily mentally and
physically rendering her disabled for three years until one day she
heard the Lord say: From remembrance day on you will be functional.
She woke up her husband to tell him and as he cleared his haze, looked
at the time and date and it was Sunday, November 11, 2019, Remembrance
Day. From that day forward, Elise has been functional and has almost
healed from all the damages that her medications have caused. She
supports the BWS community and a foundation called KnowYourDrugs.org.
A cause-related to Canadians for Vanessa's Law that is trying to bring
awareness to an epidemic that people are ready to talk about.
Pharmaceuticals are the third leading cause of death. After surviving
the horrors of BWS, Elise has made a vow to God to help others come
off their medications safely while providing hope and encouragement
through her own journey of survival while providing healthier ways of
dealing with life other than medications. Her workshops and private
counselling are designed to help you use the power of your mind and
the power in Christ to live a psychotropic drug-free life.
She also witnessed in every church congregation she would attend that they did not have the means that was required to heal her spirit and mind. Nor did secular psychotherapists and councillors that specialized in her area of need have the answers either. One of her favourite sayings is: you can only take someone as far as you have gone yourself. For that reason, she felt that both the church and the world failed her in helping her heal her heart and mind. It was the great physician, Jesus, who helped set her free.
The Church should be a hospital for the sick because everyone in some way is not well in their mind and heart. It's reflective in their behaviours and how they relate to others, themselves and God. Elise witnessed herself and others attending church each week and bible studies and or therapy and still remained the same. Stuck in their thinking patterns and bondages. Elise wanted inner freedom more than anything. She started on her own adventure of healing with Jesus. Layer after layer of pain and wrong thinking was removed from her life. She is now equipped to help others break free as well. As her spiritual gifts developed and her life was on the road to freedom, she saw the need for a facility to help people heal and transform, heart, mind and spirits.
That’s how THE HEALING TRANSFORMATION HOPE CENTRE was born. Creating a church ministry that can help heal the body of Christ enough to feel internally free.
Her vision to collaborate with partners and open up a church in her area of residence where Elise can provide counselling through workshops and privately to her members is being incubated and soon they will be opening up the doors so they can bring this level of healing and transformation to many others. Currently, Elise is running THTHC virtually, creating an environment of learning and healing that is most engaging and life-changing. What sets Elise apart from other councellors is not her education but her life experiences of loss, trauma, grief, divorce, brokenness and watching the Lord rise her up from every single arrow aimed at her life. She has BEEN THERE, DONE THAT and can come alongside you and help you get set free!
